Short version: SmawPaw helps you write instructions for whoever looks after your pet, and lets you battle cute pets in the SmawPaw Arena. You're responsible for what you write and how you play; we're responsible for the tools working as described.
The service
SmawPaw is a browser-based tool that formats information you provide into a printable handbook. The free tier and its features may evolve over time, but handbooks you've already printed or saved are yours forever.
Not veterinary advice
SmawPaw doesn't provide veterinary, medical or safety advice. Everything in a generated handbook comes from what you typed. Double-check doses, feeding amounts and emergency numbers before you hand the handbook over — and when in doubt about your pet's health, talk to a vet, not a website.
Your content
You keep all rights to what you type. Since your data stays in your browser and is never uploaded to us, we couldn't claim it if we wanted to. You're responsible for what you include — for example, we recommend sharing door codes and alarm PINs in person rather than in a printed document.
Premium purchases
Premium is a one-time unlock sold through our payment provider (a merchant of record), which handles checkout, receipts, applicable taxes and refunds under its own terms. Refunds: within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked — reply to your receipt email or contact hello@smawpaw.com. One license covers your personal use across your own devices.
Fair use
Don't resell the generated handbooks as your own template product, scrape or clone the service wholesale, or use the site to do anything illegal. Pet-sitting businesses are welcome to use SmawPaw with their clients.
The Arena & display names
Display names chosen for the SmawPaw Arena must not be offensive, impersonate real people or organisations, or contain personal information. We may rename players or reset leaderboard entries that break this without notice. The leaderboard is a best-effort casual service: it may be reset, pruned, or taken down at any time without compensation.
Warranty & liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmawPaw's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it (which, for the free tier, is zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product grows; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
