Yes. The base game — all matches, trophies and ladder progression — is free. A one-time $5 Founder's Collar instantly unlocks all 18 cards and adds cosmetic extras. There are also optional Golden Bones packs for cosmetics only. No loot boxes, no paid power.

Yes. Creating a free account takes about 30 seconds — pick a display name, enter your email and choose a password. Your account keeps your trophies, cards and biscuits safely on our server so they survive clearing your browser and work across devices.

For your Arena account: your display name, email address, and a salted password hash (we never store your actual password). We also store your game profile: trophies, owned cards, deck, biscuit and bone balances. See the privacy policy for full details.

Password reset is currently handled manually. Email hello@smawpaw.com from your account address and we will send a reset link. Automated self-service reset is on our near-term roadmap.

Your display name is what other players see. It appears on the global leaderboard next to your trophy count. It can be up to 20 characters and you can change it in your account settings at any time.

A one-time $5 purchase that instantly unlocks every card in the game, adds a gold collar cosmetic for your pets in battle, gives you a Founder Star on the leaderboard, and covers all future premium cosmetics. One payment, no subscription.

Biscuits 🍪 are earned by playing and spent in the card shop. Golden Bones 🦴 can be purchased or occasionally earned; they buy cosmetics only. Bones convert to Biscuits at 100:1 (one-way). Every purchase is deterministic — no loot boxes or paid chance mechanics. See the card library for each card's biscuit price.

Yes! The Pet Sitter Handbook is a free tool and fully separate from the Arena. It is entirely client-side — your pet's data never leaves your browser and it requires no account at all.

Any modern browser with canvas support: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on desktop and mobile. Matches take about three minutes — the right length for a phone.
